A Better Saturday

Even with all of the drama going on...today has turned out to be a pretty decent day. I headed to the city for a few hours this afternoon; went to an amazing Middle Eastern market/bakery - Al Khyam and bought fresh pita, baklava, several different types of tea, and items to make hummos for tomorrow's family get together... AMAZING, if I do say so myself:)

After the grocery shopping, I had lunch at a really good Lebanese restaurant - Semiramis...hummos, fresh pita, middle eastern coffee with cardamom, several types of kebab, and falafel... yum.

After THAT, headed over to Smoque for some to-go bbq sliced brisket, macaroni and cheese (I pretty much think they put crack in it...it's that good), and corn bread. I'm so glad I was introduced to this place. The line was out the door and the service was pretty slow today - but it is SO WORTH IT!

Now I'm relaxing...playing Mafia Wars (a game on Facebook that I'm now hooked on), and lounging in my p.j.s...

I'm glad today was relaxing and simple. I really needed to spend a little time forgetting all of the stuff that has been going on recently.
